In our woman’s group we talked about the lies Satan tries to feed us regarding our circumstances. The next day I came across this video that show two people rising above their circumstance to pursue their dream of dancing. It is very sweet so I thought I would share it.
I love this verse:
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Phil 4:13
There are no exceptions. If God calls us to a task we don’t have to be frazzled. Instead we can be confident that we can accomplish it in such a way that will bring pleasure to God . We can raise our children in godliness, not because we have it all together, but because Christ died in order to give us His strength. We can handle illness, because Christ gives us His ability to suffer well. We can make right decisions, even if they go against culture, because Christ gives us His wisdom and strength. Uncertainty, hardships, the breaking of bad habits (anything you can think of) should not be an obstacle for us because Christ has already overcome it all.
“O be not a coward—play the man. Christ puts His hand upon you today and He says, “Up and be doing.” And do you reply, “Yes, Lord, I will be doing, for I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” I am persuaded there is no work to which a Christian can be called for which he will not be found well qualified. If his master should appoint him to a throne, he would rule well, or should He bid him play the menial part he would make the best of servants—in all places and in all duties the Christian is always strong enough, if the Lord his God is with him. Without Christ he can do nothing, but with Christ he can do all things.”
(Charles Spurgeon – Sermon on Phil 4:13)
No matter what tasks God brings us this season of life they are always accompanied by a helper who stands beside us to encourage and to offer us His strength. So seize life and live it well.
